sacred stillness: a winter retreat

In the heart of winter, tucked into the majestic Blue Ridge mountains at Moon Rising Retreat, we will gather under a full moon to take time to reconnect to our own seasonal nature. The light of the sun is returning and we ready ourselves to emerge from the long dark nights of winter. This retreat offers perspective to see your life as an intrinsic part of nature–one that is cyclical, dancing a sacred dance of constant transformation. Each season belongs and offers powerful medicine. Winter is a beginning. A potent chapter that offers us restoration and prepares us for gestation and birthing new life. 

Led by yoga teacher, moon circle leader, astrologer and magic activator Kristin Rand, this retreat will offer refreshment through human connection, somatic movement and yoga, sunrise meditations and a deep connection to nature. 

This retreat will allow room for rest and renewal. The daily schedule will be elective and self-paced. Do what you want–hang back if you’re being called for deeper rest or other activities. No yoga or mediation experience is necessary. 

During the scheduled free time, there will be limited slots to have a 1:1 session with Kristin to explore your personal astrology and pull cards for yourself. These sessions are $55, not included in the retreat price and totally optional. Spaces are limited so sign up before they fill up!

friday
7am: sunrise meditation
coffee, tea, and small bites
self paced slow and gentle morning (reading, walk around the grounds, chat with friends)
9am: vinyasa flow
10am: brunch 
1pm: group nature walk: explore the grounds, the land, the streams. connect with the nature around us. 
2-5pm: free time, 1:1 sessions
5pm: sharing circle theme: our internal winter & sacred stillness 
6pm: dinner 
7pm: yin

saturday
7am: sunrise meditation
coffee, tea, and crumpets and self paced relaxation. walk around the grounds, read, chat, etc
9am: vinyasa flow
10am: brunch 
1pm: sharing circle theme: working with the moon & the archetypes of winter 
3-6: free time, 1:1 sessions 
6pm: dinner
7pm:sunset mediation
7:30pm: fire circle
9pm: yoga nidra 

sunday

FACILITIES

As part of your stay, you will have access to the 22-acre grounds of Moon Rising including dedicated use of the yoga shala, community living room, community dining room, community gathering spaces, outdoor covered patio and couches, reading corner, tea bar, fire pit, 1/2 mile walking path, tree net, hiking and forest trails, and the Yadkin River which runs through the property.
