Vinyasa
Omise’eke Natasha Tinsley fell in love with meaningful movement at age three, when she begged her parents to enroll her in dance classes and never looked back. A long-time student of ballet, Afro-Brazilian dance, and hip hop, she is a former member of Ananya Dance Theatre in Minneapolis. She discovered yoga after the birth of her daughter in Austin, Texas, where she completed vinyasa teacher training at Yoga Yoga in 2016 under the mentorship of two beautiful souls: Kewal Hausmann of Austin Queer Wellness Collective and Mary Richardson-Perez of Studio Satya.
Natasha teaches in the spirit of Sanksrit principle of Lila, “divine play,” which engages life as an unfolding dance and honors the spontaneous, joyful creation and movement of the universe. Because everyone’s gospel sounds different, her classes feature soulful, moving contemporary music including neosoul, R&B, and hip hop. Her practices build creative, dance-inspired flows that encourage laughter, play, and self-discovery, and welcome everyBODY to show up as they are and create the movement they need.
